Effect of some strains of Mycoplasma on serum and milk biochemistry of dairy cows

چکیده
A s a result of repeated complain of dairy farms from mycoplasma mastitis, our study was performed to provide some more investigations about the charring role of Mycoplasma bovis (M. bovis) and Mycoplasma bovigenitalium (M. bovigenitalium) in this problem which may lead to good diagnosis and understand of the nature of the disease. Two hundred and sixty cows were examined out of a herd of 500 dairy cows from which 60 cows where clinically mastitic, M. bovis and M. bovigenitalium were mostly detected directly by culture method and indirectly by ELISA test. Biochemical analysis of serum and milk whey declared that mycoplasma induced mastitis is accompanied by significant increase of serum enzymatic activities of ALT,AST and ALP as will as urea concentration. The serum protein fractions of mastitic cows showed hypoalbuminemia and hyperglobulinemia (α2, β2, γ globulins and Total globulins) with reduced A/G ratio in addition changes in milk whey represented by elevation of milk whey proteins, serum albumin, immunoglobulin and other whey proteins beside significant elevation of sodium and chlorides, while decline of β lactoglobulin, a lactoalbumin, calcium and phosphorus was noticed. These changes may aid in detection of mastitic cases and help in rapid diagnosis of the disease.

Influence of Body Condition Score on Yield and Composition of Milk in Crossbred Dairy Cows
The study was carried out for a period of 150 days on 120 Holstein Friesian crossbred dairy cows between mid to late lactation to quantify the influence of body condition score (BCS) on yield and composition of milk. Total 12 dairy farms having same housing systems and holding at least 20 crossbred dairy cows per farm between mid to late lactation were selected for this study purposes. BCS of i...

متن کاملMilk Production, Milk Fatty Acid Profiles and Blood Metabolites in Holstein Dairy Cows Fed Diets Based on Dried Citrus Pulp
The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of substitution of corn grain with dried citrus pulp (DCP) on milk composition, fatty acids profiles and blood metabolites in Holstein dairy cows. These parameters were measured in a replicated 4 × 4 latin square design experiment using eight Holstein cows. Each experimental period lasted 4 weeks. The four treatments were: control (...

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relation between different indices of milk yield andbody condition score (BCS) with the commencement of the luteal activity (C-LA) during the postpartumperiod in high producing dairy cows. Seventy-one multiparous healthy (free of detectable reproductivedisorders) Holstein dairy cows (mean peak milk yield = 56.7 ± 7.4 kg) were used in the prese...
متن کاملEffect of Milk Urea Nitrogen of Dairy Cows in Relation to Breed
Milk urea nitrogen (MUN) of dairy cows was determined in relation to breed. A total of forty (40) Pabna and red Chittagong dairy cattle each of twenty (20) were selected to know the milk composition, nutritional status and milk urea nitrogen. Live weight of Pabna Cattle (187±14 kg) was higher than that of red Chittagong cattle (174±4 kg). In Pabna cattle milk yield (4.94 kg), minerals (0.15%) a...
